Tickets are best for active issues. Request Service is best for planned work, onboarding, changes, and projects.

Create a ticket when

  • Something is broken or not working as expected
  • You need troubleshooting for an active issue
  • You are responding to an outage, alert, or support problem
  • You need tracked follow-up from support

Use Request Service when

  • You need onboarding or offboarding help
  • You want a quote, change, or planned service
  • You are requesting infrastructure work or a project
  • You need help that is not tied to a current incident
